In response to student feedback, from Monday 27 June, student accounts have moved from the Google platform to the Office 365 Education system.
Office 365 is a collection of the latest Microsoft Office online products, giving students free access to Word, PowerPoint, OneNote and a huge 1TB of online storage with OneDrive. The system is more flexible to use and allows students to collaborate and share their university work.
Changing to Office 365 means students ‘emails will move from the old Google system to a new Outlook system. Each current student’s email account will change to pnumber@my365.dmu.ac.uk. For students who are graduating this year, their email address will change to pnumber@alumni365.dmu.ac.uk when they move to alumni status.
Students have been advised to forward any important emails they wish to save from their Google email account to their new my365 email account, and to transfer any existing personal calendar appointments over to their new my365 calendar account.
Help and advice on using the new Office 365 system is available by selecting the Office 365 tab on MyDMU.
If you have any questions please email office365feedback@dmu.ac.uk.
