Our support extends beyond the classroom and there are many ways that we help students to become highly employable. With employment fairs, graduate internships, enterprise support and a whole range of careers advice at their disposal, our graduates are ready to hit the ground running and embark on their exciting and rewarding careers, helping to support the needs of the professions.

The Careers and Employability team have a range of services that students, graduates and alumni can access in order to enhance their career and employability prospects.

Support includes:

Careers advice and guidance

Job vacancies

Internship and work experience support

Recruitment fairs and Employer events

This support is open to all current students as well as our graduates and alumni - there is a lifetime of support available to all students and graduates of De Montfort University.

What are our graduates doing now?

Each year we contact our recent graduates to find out how they're doing after completing their course.

We do this as part of a national survey that looks at how many of our graduates are in employment, continuing education or a mixture of both, six months after leaving the university.

For graduates that left the University in summer 2014, almost 96% reported that they were in employment or further study 6 months after completing their course. This places De Montfort University in the top 25 institutions in the UK for employability outcomes last year.
